One of my core beliefs is that every victim should be able to tell their own story in their own words; it's their healing process in order to become a survivor/victor and/or even a thriver. That was the premise when I started my Domestic Violence Voices and has become the mantra of the facebook page to over 2,600 followers, and the premise when I created my radio show about 5 years ago in 2009/2010. In fact, the show was designed as a platform for survivors to tell their own story in their own words.
Not everyone is at a stage that they can readily tell their story publically, and, that is okay. The facebook page is for folks to share how they are sharing their voices when they do. Likewise, my radio show has open doors for folks to have a vehicle to tell their story when they are ready to do so. All in good time. When ready to tell on the radio show, feel free to contact me through 512-222-9673. In the interim, I'm available to help work through the struggles to get you to the point that you are comfortable in sharing your story and moving forward on one's life's journey.
Feel free to share your life struggle that you are most struggling with at this time. Exerercise caution and don't feel that you have to reveal all here and only share only as much as you are publically okay with sharing. Too, remember, this is the internet, which is a public forum, so these details that you are writing here are shared publically widely with others. That being said (with all precautions taken), please feel free to share with us, what are some of your greatest struggles that make it a part of your story to this day; and, what steps you are taking to move forward with your life at this point in time.
